This 2013 Octomore release has been produced by using only Scottish barley and is peated at 167 PPM so you would think this would be drowning in peat but the ppm level is pre distillation so it is actually more elegant and complex that you have any right to expect at only 5 years old and at this strength. The nose alone will take you for ever to decipher! this is actually very approachable despite being so heavily peated and shows truly epic levels of complexity. 94 points Jim Murray's Whisky Bible
