One of the original set of Family cask releases from the Glenfarclas range of rare and old single cask releases that go all the way back to whisky distilled in 1952 and first released in 2007. Distilled 8/12/1955 Bottled 27/2/2007 Aged for 51 years in a single Sherry Butt Only 545 bottles released at natural cask strength 46. 1% ABV Gloriously dark. A big, rich sherried nose that has lost nothing of it's power, having been captured in an oak cask for so long. Rich coffee aromas alongside spicy fruit. A truly intense flavour of fruit, sherry and other alcohols perfectly encased in a velvet bag. A very smooth, yet powerful dram. A sip explodes and covers your mouth with a beautiful, almost oily, whisky flavour. A wonderful sensation. A spicy finish with a finale of chocolate nuttiness.
