The third Auchroisk to appear in the Annual Diageo special releases after a 20 year old in 2010 and a 30 year old in 2012. A 1990 vintage 25 year old aged in refill Ameican Hogsheads and European oak butts and bottled at 51. 2% ABV. Only 3954 bottles released of this lesser known Speyside malt that does not boast many official bottle releases. Nose: Light and aromatic with creamy tropical fruit, touches of aniseed, frangelica and fruit salad syrup. Palate: White chocolate, spicy nougart, tropical fruit, ginger biscuits, toasted tea cakes and praline. Finish: Marzipan, waxy orange, anise, milky tea, herbal honey and menthol. Shares the "Singleton" brand name with the distilleries of Dufftown, Glen Ord and Glendullan and one of the newer distilleries to have opened in the 1970's.
