Double Gold Medal winner at the San Francisco World Spirits competition 2019 An 18 year old that is part of the first core range of single malt whiskies from the Speyside distillery Glenallachie following its acquisition in Octber 2017 by a consortium led by ex-BenRiach owner Billy Walker. The GlenAllachie 18 Year Old has been aged in a combination of Pedro Ximénez, oloroso and American oak casks. "A combination of rich and robust spirit, with heather and butterscotch notes, along with subtle hints of dark chocolate. " Bottled at natural colour and without chill filtration with the bottle labels including the words ‘From the valley of the rocks’, a translation of GlenAllachie’s original Gaelic name Gleann Aileachaidh.
