Made from a carefully selected mashbill, Michter’s US *1 Kentucky Straight Bourbon features the highest quality American corn. The spirit is matured to the peak of perfection in new American oak, delivering a Kentucky straight bourbon that is nuanced, mellow and earthy with notes of rich caramel, balanced with vanilla and a smoky undertone. Nose: Rootsy liquorice, black cherries in kirsch, dark muscavado sugar topped hot chocolate, some minty, dark orange bitters here too. Palate: Rich toffee, caramel, mentol, waxy orange, chocolate bitters, aromatic spices, cherry liquorice, dark syrupy mouthfeel, clove and charred oak. Finish: Dark honeycomb, clove, cinnamon, sour cherry, aniseed, mint, dark chocolate, dry and spicy with more brown sugar and caramelised notes.
