| Terroir: Chateau Fuisse’s Tete de Cru is a blend of over 20 prime vineyard sites throughout the appellation of Pouilly-Fuisse. Plots in Pouilly, with a high limestone proportion, contribute intense perfume yet more delicacy in the mouth. Those in Fuisse, where clay is more prominent, are less aromatic but fuller, more solid and structured. Vines are an average of 30 years old. Vinification: Each vineyard site is vinified separately until the final blend is chosen following aging. 70% of the wine is aged in oak barrel (25% new) while the remaining 30% is stored in stainless steel to retain it’s pure fruit. |

| Chateau Fuisse has defined the Pouilly-Fuisse appellation; as important to the understanding of Burgundy as Chablis. Chateau Fuisse dates back to 1604 and has been in the Vincent family for five generations. Each generation has added land, increased quality and enhanced the worldwide recognition of the chateau and today under direction of Jean-Jacques Vincent and his son Antoine Chateau Fuisse has reached the pinnacle of quality in the region with wines rivaling the more famous appellations of Puligny Montrachet, Chassagne Montrachet and Meursault to the north. The chateau owns more than 80 acres, each planted with Chardonnay covering four appellations in Pouilly-Fuisse, Saint Veran, Macon-Villages and Macon-Fuisse. The most famous vineyards of Les Brulees, Les Combettes and Le Clos surround the chateau are bottled as specific cuvees to showcase their unique terroir. Chateau Fuisse also produces quality driven wines sourced mainly from family-owned properties in the Macon and Beaujolais under the Vincent Signature label. Each of these wines is produced with the same care and expertise as the domaine bottlings. |
