The Tentoura is the traditional liqueur of Patras. It is known from the 15th century, the Venetian era. The old people of Patras called the tentura and ”moschovolithra. ” It boasts intense aromas. Manufactured by distilled cinnamon and clove. It has dark brown color, which, like the aromas, is due to the use of extract of different spices (cinnamon, clove, nutmeg) and other flavorings. Drink straight or with crushed ice, usually after a good meal as a digestif. Often used in mixing with other drinks, to flavor coffee, sweets and dishes.
