Glencadam Réserve de Sauternes was distilled in 2008 and matured initially in ex-Bourbon American oak casks, before being finished in specially selected Sauternes wine barrels sourced from France. The Sauternes wine barrels perfectly compliment Glencadam Single Malt, adding depth and complexity to the whisky. Limited release of only 3,042 bottles, each individually numbered. Nose: Tangy aromas of fine-cut marmalade and poached pears mingled with acacia honey, peach blossom, yellow fruits and sandalwood. Palate: Layers of baked peach, dried mango, manuka honey and chocolate orange followed by lemon drizzle cake, mandarin sorbet and crème anglais. Finish: Apple compote, agave nectar and candied peels bound in sweet baking spices and candied cloves that linger long on the tongue.
