This 33 year old is a rare expression from the silent distillery Port Ellen. On the nose: dusty oak, white chocolate, honeyed cereal and a good kick of rich, smoky peat. In the mouth: spicy oak tempered with green apples, hints of old oak furniture, orange peel dusted with nutmeg. A sublime lingering finish of charred oak and a maritime salty tang.
