Storm Kelpie was born from a treachorous swim across the Corryvreckan whirlpool, located between the islands of Jura and Scarba, Scotland. The Whisky was carried across the whirlpool by swimmers, to be bottled and raise money for Sea Shepherd New Zealand. A rich and powerful Islay Single Malt Whisky, from Bunnahabhain distillery. Nose: Clear smoky notes of BBQ and smoked meat over a campfire. A pleasant honey sweetness with citrus. Palate: Powerful, but well rounded and balanced on the palate. Citrus notes of limes oranges, alongside ripe orchard fruits. Spicy smoke and a hint of black pepper. Finish: Medium and intense, with lingering peat smoke on the finish.
