Meaning bowl shaped valley and founded in 1823 (the same year as Macallan) and the first to be established in what was to become the great Speyside distilling centre of Dufftown. This 10 year old Mortlach that has been hand bottled by independant bottler Douglas Laing using one refill butt. Nose: Candy shop, pear drops, apple sours and lemon sorbet Taste: Orange segments with sweet toasted barley and vanilla pods Finish: Medium long with ripe Seville orange, tangerine and caramelised sugar
