A high quality Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon grappa from Antinori, Tiganello is surprisingly easy drinking for a 42% spirit and very well balanced. Tignanello Grappa is the product of a family that has been involved in the production of wine for over six centuries – since 1385, when Giovanni di Piero Antinori entered the Winemaker's Guild of the city of Florence. Nowadays the distillation is run by Marquis Piero Antinori with the assistance of his three daughters. Grappa Tignanello is obtained from the distillation of the marc from the Sangiovese and Cabernet grapes growing in the Tignanello vineyard. After pressing the pomace (from which the Grappa is made) it is immediately taken to the distillery in order to remain rich with aromatic characteristics.
