Teremana Tequila is a tequila brand founded by Dwayne Johnson, otherwise known as The Rock. The tequila is made from ripe agaves harvested from the Highlands of Jalisco and are roasted in traditional brick ovens for 3 days. After shredding, the agaves are fermented in an open tank and then distilled in copper pot stills. Teremana Reposado Tequila matures in former bourbon barrels and is bottled at 80 proof. The name means "spirit of the earth" . . . TERE from the Latin word for "earth" and MANA from the Polynesian word for "spirit. "
