Named in honor of the people of Tequila, El Tequileno was founded in 1959 by Don Jorge Salles Cuervo with a vision to create only the finest tequila. Sixty years later, El Tequileno is made in the same place using the same recipe by the grandson of Don Jorge. By law, Reposados are required to be aged in barrels smaller than 600L and aged less than one year. El Tequileno breaks the rules with this Rare Reposado, instead aging it for 6 years in a very large American Oak pipon, resulting in an amazingly complex and rich Tequila with exceptional depth.
