Grape: Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara Tasting Notes: Black Fruits, Red fruits, Chocolate, Tobacco The name Masi is derived from Vaio dei Masi, the small valley, in the Valpolicella vineyard in Veneto, which acquired it at the end of the 18th century by the Boscaini family, which still owns it to this day. Since 1973, the Boscaini family and the Conti Serego Alighieri have combined to produce world-renowned wines. The historic Veneto estate was purchased in 1353 by Pietro Alighieri, son of the renowned Italian poet Dante, and has remained a part of the Alighieri family for 21 generations. This hearty, well structured, deep, wine has full body, medium acidity, and grippy but smooth tannins. Its complex flavors of plum, cherry, blackberry, oak, licorice, cinnamon, dark chocolate, coffee, raisin, black pepper and leather anoint the palate. This wine is crying out for big, roasted red meats like beef or venison. SUSTAINABLE
