Where the 2013 was soft and easy with ripe strawberry tones and a silky smooth mouthfeel, 2014 is brighter and edgier with lithe acidity and more vibrant, concentrated fruit. Less mellow, and more about length, this Pinot showcases concentrated cranberry and raspberry fruit and pronounced white pepper. This version is a more ideal food wine; a great red for firm fish such as salmon or swordfish, Folk Machine will also soar with pasta with vodka sauce or soft goat cheeses with rosemary crackers.
