A darling of the critics, Sea Smoke remains of the Central Coast's cult Pinot producers. Southing is sourced entirely from the Sea Smoke Estate Vineyard in the Sta. Rita Hills and saw 16 months in 55% new French oak barrels. From the winery: "Each year, our goal for Southing is to create the ideal marriage of complexity and elegance. The 2012 Southing exhibits bright fruits, sassafras, fresh iris and damp earth. The fine tannins and minerality are enhanced by our estate vineyard’s characteristic cool climate acidity. "
