Brugal Rum Extra Viejo 750ml
21273-od
$62.99 price per bottle
The Brugal family has created a distinctly different rum. Distilling for dryness, the Brugal method of distillation removes much of what other rums leave in, resulting in a spirit that is cleaner, dryer, and less sweet. Brugal Extra Viejo is aged in ex-American whisky casks for up to 8 years creating an elegant rum with hints of vanilla and sweet spices.

A DIFFERENT KIND OF RUM Since 1888, we’ve been creating distinctly different rum, and there are two very important things that set Brugal apart from others. The first is the Brugal method of distillation, which removes much of what other rums leave in, resulting in a spirit that is cleaner, dryer and less sweet. The second is an unwavering dedication to cask-aging every drop of Brugal, today using the same wood policy as the world’s finest Single Malt Scotch Whisky. Because we cask-age our rum in the year-round heat and humidity of the Dominican Republic, maturation is accelerated, contributing to a balanced, sophisticated family of rums unlike any other. A DIFFERENT APPROACH TO MAKING IT Take good care of your home. It’s a simple philosophy, and for the Brugal family, the Dominican Republic has been home for over five generations. Byproducts from the fermentation process are converted to biogas that now accommodates 70% of the distillery’s power needs. Carbon dioxide is captured from the distillery processes and used for beverage carbonation instead of being released to the atmosphere. The wood from retired barrels is converted to biofuel and the steel is recycled. Brugal leads the spirits industry with a systematic program to reclaim and recycle glass packaging from bar, restaurant and retail partners in the Dominican Republic . These are just a few of the ways in which we are acting to ensure a positive legacy for the next five generations and beyond. |
